Figma is now confidently taking the lead among tools for creating designs and prototypes. We’ve discussed its advantages in detail in the article “Figma: Modern Features and Capabilities”. Previously, one of the platform’s drawbacks was the lack of plugins, but the developers listened to user feedback and added this feature to the program. Plugins help optimize and automate routine tasks, making work easier and faster.
The number of plugins is growing literally every day, since the system allows users to upload their own. Thanks to this approach, we get genuinely useful products, because they're created by people with the same needs as us. It's the perfect embodiment of the idea: “If you want something done right, do it yourself.” Annoyed by the lack of a feature? You're not the only one! And now, here it is — a new plugin that solves that exact problem.
Among the existing plugins, there are some very specific ones that not every designer needs — they’re more suitable for niche projects. But today, we’re listing those that have quickly gained popularity and are almost certain to be useful in your daily work.

Using Modern Features
Installing plugins is very simple — just download the one you need in the Plugins section or go through the Community tab if you have an older version. There are different categories — click Explore to browse them and read descriptions by clicking on icons. All your downloaded plugins will be available in the Plugins menu. Installation is one click, and removing a plugin is just as easy — if it doesn’t work for you, simply remove it from your list. This is helpful when trying out a few similar plugins before deciding which fits best.
To use a plugin, you need to select the object in your project that it will apply to, and then choose the desired action. Some plugins include instructions, so it’s pretty hard to get confused.
Today we covered fairly simple plugins that even beginner designers can handle. But if even this feels overwhelming — join our training program. A detailed breakdown of Figma’s capabilities is included in the online coaching “Web Designer: Your Golden Ticket to Thailand”. You’ll not only master the basics of working in the program but also learn to apply creative techniques where these plugins come in handy. Apply now while spots are still available!
