Originally, the WAYUP project was envisioned by me as a platform for gaining the most in-demand, useful, and interesting skills in the IT field. A year has passed, and this mission remains unchanged in our work. However, something has truly changed — and thanks to this “something,” over the past few months, we’ve managed to help a huge number of people feel free, both mentally and financially.
Direction in 2016
What am I talking about? What has changed?
I realized what our students really want. Skills are great. But first and foremost, everyone comes to us hoping to change their present.
People want freedom, stability, and money.
I say this honestly, because it's the truth. And there’s nothing shameful about it.
That’s why our direction in the coming year (and in fact, it already is) will be focused on teaching real professions and showing how to apply that knowledge to get the most out of it. I’ve always emphasized the practical use of skills. But now, much more attention will be given to personal branding and self-promotion than ever before.
Some people are looking for remote jobs. Some want to become freelancers. Some want to start their own business related to websites, design, graphics, apps, marketing. Others want to travel freely without worrying about money. And some just want to spend more time with their families instead of being stuck in a job they hate.
The people who’ve taken our courses know that all this is possible. They’re already living their dreams. So why not make 2016 the year your dreams come true?
Participants of the first stream of the online coaching program " Web Designer: A Ticket to Thailand " have already experienced this themselves. A full 40% of the program is dedicated to freelancing — finding clients, getting your first jobs, and communication.
And this is only the beginning.
New Courses, Coaching Programs, and Skills
A thorough analysis of last year’s events, successes, and failures gave me a clear picture of what educational programs our Library really needs. We’ll also be rolling out a number of updates to make the Library more convenient and better structured.
Right now, we’re actively working to offer as many valuable courses as possible. 2015 helped us understand what educational programs should look like, what to emphasize, and how to present information in a way that reaches the largest possible audience.
2016 will be an outstanding year for me and the WAYUP team, because big and meaningful changes are on the way.
What does this mean for you? The answer is simple: more courses, more masterclasses, more webinars, more surprises, more value.
I won’t announce the upcoming events and courses that will launch as early as January, but I can say with confidence: everything you expect from online education will be fulfilled. Everything you strive for — will come true. Your free and happy freelance life — will become a reality.
Happy New Year!
Enough about us! In just 3 days, the day will come when your dreams begin to come true!
The night of December 31st to January 1st is called magical for a reason. It truly holds power. When people around the world celebrate such a big occasion, they radiate a tremendous amount of energy. That’s why everything we wish each other on New Year’s Eve tends to come true.
On behalf of the entire team, I wish you to never give up and to move steadily toward your goals. May all your wishes turn into intentions, and those intentions into powerful actions.
Take action in 2016 — and you will absolutely succeed!
With best wishes, Andrey Gavrilov, founder of WAYUP.
